Zen-Wu Y-1 Chisel

The Y-1 was Zen-Wu's first Western bench chisel, built around ZW-C1 — a white-paper-style carbon steel with edge retention and toughness that tested above every carbon steel chisel we measured, and on par with popular CPM steels.

Classic design, dead-flat bevels and backs. The chisel body has a shaped thumb rest and softened corner reliefs at the points where hands naturally grip. Blade 130mm, handle 140mm, total length 270mm. Ships at a 30° bevel, flat and ready to shave.

Discontinued. Its successor, the Y-2 Chisel, uses ZW-C2 at 64 HRC. The Y-1 remains available in limited stock for anyone who prefers its original look.
