Zen-Wu Bailey-style Plane Blade
Replacement blades that fit Bailey- and Stanley-pattern bench planes. They drop into most #3-#8 planes from Lie-Nielsen, Veritas (standard line only, not the custom line), WoodRiver, Clifton, Quangsheng, Luban, Dictum, and older Stanley (which may need minor mouth filing to take the thicker blade).
Two edge steels, at the same price. Choose by steel character:
- ZW-V0: runs harder and holds up better on tropical or Australian hardwoods where edge retention is the priority.
- CPM Magnacut: trades a little hardness for stainless corrosion resistance, better suited to humid shops and green woodworking. Magnacut is itself stainless, so the blade resists rust end to end.
Two base materials. Current production laminates the edge steel into a titanium alloy body (4.0mm blade, 3.0mm titanium chipbreaker); titanium damps vibration and does not rust. The original soft iron build (4.3mm blade, 2.7mm stainless chipbreaker) is discontinued; remaining stock is offered in ZW-V0 only, at the old price, while it lasts.
Both steels sit well ahead of standard bench plane steels like PMV-11 or O1 in edge retention and toughness. Every blade is flat, razor-sharp, and ready to use, and comes with a titanium screwdriver and an extra compatibility slider.
