Zen-Wu F-2 Titanium Hammer

The F-2 is a Japanese-style titanium hammer weighing about 16 oz (450g), roughly two-thirds the mass of a 24 oz steel hammer, yet it strikes with comparable force. Titanium alloy transfers more of the swing into the work instead of absorbing it as flex and vibration, and on the receiving end of a chisel, the result feels closer to a heavier hammer than the weight suggests.

What you will notice in the hand is how little comes back. The recoil is a fraction of what a steel head returns to your wrist, a real difference after a long afternoon of paring or joinery. Fitted with a flame-treated black locust handle. The titanium body will not rust.

Discontinued. Its successor, the F-4 Hammer, pairs the titanium body with a hardened stainless-steel strike face. Remaining F-2 stock lives in the BLEM section.
