The Z-1 is a slim-profile Western bench chisel made from Magnacut steel, heat-treated in the US. Magnacut is a modern stainless tool steel developed to resist corrosion without giving up edge retention: a good choice for humid workshops, green woodworking, or any setting where a carbon steel tool would spot rust overnight.

Slim body, dead-flat bevels and backs, hard maple handles. Blade 4-3/4" (120mm), handle 4-15/16" (125mm), total length 9-5/8" (245mm). Ships at a 30° bevel, flat and ready to shave.
