Zen-Wu X-1 Chisel

The X-1 was Zen-Wu's first titanium-bodied Western bench chisel. A laminated design: a ZW-X1 steel cutting edge bonded to a titanium alloy body, giving the chisel the edge retention of a tool steel with the shock absorption and dimensional stability of titanium underneath.

Dead-flat bevels and backs. The chisel body has a shaped thumb rest and softened corner reliefs at the points where hands naturally grip. Stabilized maple handles. Ships flat-polished on bevel and back, ready to shave. Set comes with a custom leather pouch.

Discontinued. Its successor, the X-2 Chisel, uses ZW-X2 — a steel further refined for chisel work — and pairs with reclaimed red bamboo-leaf oak handles.
