Zen-Wu Block Plane

Zen-Wu Block Plane features titanium alloy for all metal parts, except the dovetailed edge steel and the wooden palm rest.

Titanium offers several advantages in a hand plane: it does not rust, it does not bite your hand in a cold shop, and its inherent damping properties help suppress cutting harmonics for a cleaner shave—on par with our Japanese planes.

At roughly 60% the density of steel, the body is deliberately made thicker and more substantial, increasing stability, rigidity and damping while keeping the tool agile in hand.

The blade adjustment mechanism is simplified from the traditional Norris-style adjuster—fewer parts, same effective depth and lateral control. Built to last generations.
