Zen-Wu F-2DS Damascus Steel Hammer

A face-tempered Damascus steel hammer. The strike faces are spot-hardened to 59 HRC; the softer iron between them absorbs shock and damps the rebound that wears on a wrist over the course of a day. Head 12.7 oz (360g), total weight ~17 oz (480g) with handle. Paired with a flame-treated and roughened black locust handle.

Suited for chisels, nails, and plane adjustments.
