Zen-Wu Y-2 Chisel

Our Y-2 Western Chisel, made with Zen-Wu white-paper carbon steel (ZW-C2), is truly the western bench chisels for every woodworker. With a classic design and with dead flat bevels and backs, it features edge retention and toughness like no other.

Chisel length 130mm, handle length 140mm, total length 270mm.

Flat and ready to shave out of the box, 30° cutting angle without secondary bevel.

FAQ:

• What the h*** is ZW-C1 and ZW-C2?
  • Both steel are carbon steel with very little alloy or impurities, they are precision heat treated with multiple cryogenic cycles. ZW-C1 takes a hardness of 63.5 hrc and ZW-C2 takes a hardness of 64 hrc. No big difference here, just us trying to push some limits for our own sake.
• Wait you don't have 3/4"?
  • Currently we do not have 3/4", perhaps consider a 20mm instead.
